Routing Specialist - PM Shift

zTrip is seeking a dependable, organized, and solutions-focused Routing Specialist - PM Shift - Taxi Dispatcher to support our evening transportation operations. In this key role, you will coordinate driver assignments, monitor trip activity, and provide real-time support to drivers and customers to ensure efficient, reliable service throughout the shift.

This position is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while delivering outstanding communication and customer service.

Key Responsibilities of a Routing Specialist:

Dispatch & Routing Operations

• Coordinate and assign drivers based on trip demand, availability, and service requirements
• Monitor active trips and address routing, scheduling, and operational issues in real time
• Communicate route adjustments, trip updates, and important operational information to drivers
• Maintain efficient service coverage across all assigned service areas
• Respond quickly to service disruptions and implement effective solutions to minimize delays
• Support overall transportation efficiency and on-time performance during evening operations

Driver & Customer Support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers throughout the shift
• Assist drivers with trip-related questions, route concerns, and operational issues
• Provide professional support to customers regarding transportation services and scheduling needs
• Resolve service concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
• Ensure clear and effective communication between drivers, customers, and operations teams

Administrative & Documentation Support

• Maintain accurate dispatch records, trip logs, and operational documentation
• Assist with billing inquiries and other administrative responsibilities as needed
• Track service activity and ensure records are completed accurately and timely
• Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards

Team Collaboration

• Partner with operations, customer service, and management teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Share important operational updates and shift information
• Assist with process improvements and special projects
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications of a Routing Specialist:

• Previous experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, fleet operations, routing, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• Professional and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Experience with dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, or fleet management platforms is a plus
• Valid driver's license required
